Clover + Poppy’s Story:
Meet Clover & Poppy – The Dynamic Orange Duo!
These sweet, spirited brothers were rescued from a hoarding situation when they were just a few days old, alongside their mama. Though their start in life was tough, their love for each other (and for life!) has only grown stronger.
Their mom tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV), meaning the boys were exposed early in life. While kittens can sometimes clear the virus on their own, maternal antibodies do not provide long-term immunity—so their status is uncertain until they are retested as adults (around 6 months old). Despite this, Clover and Poppy are thriving! They’re playful, full of energy, and absolutely inseparable. Whether they’re chasing toys, wrestling, or curling up together for a nap, these two are a bonded pair who bring endless joy.
They would do best in a home where they can stay together, and ideally, as the only cats or with other FeLV-positive feline friends. With proper care and love, they can live happy, fulfilling lives—and they have so much love to give in return!
If you’re ready to open your heart to this special pair, Clover and Poppy are waiting to fill your home with purrs, playfulness, and endless orange-kitten antics. Could you be their happily ever after?
Let’s give these brave boys the bright future they deserve! 💛
Health Notes:
Poppy + Clover’s mom, Lily tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV), so there’s a chance her kittens may have been exposed. While Poppy + Clover have not yet been tested, their first combo test is scheduled for this month, as August marks the 6-month mark to provide the most accurate test results.
FeLV-positive cats can still live happy, full lives—especially in calm, indoor-only homes with regular vet care. We’re here to support adopters with any questions or information, no matter the result of Poppy + Clover’s upcoming test.
